Crosby Township’s Candidates Meet and Greet  

 

On Thursday, October 28, 2021 at the Crosby Township Community Center, there will be a "Candidates Meet and Greet" beginning at 6;30 PM. There are 4 candidates running for the 2 Trustee positions. CROSBY TOWNSHIP TRUSTEE MEETINGS 

 

The Township Trustee Meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of each month at 7:00 PM at the Crosby Township Senior/Community Center located at 8910 Willey Road, 45030. Call 738-1440 for more information.

CROSBY TOWNSHIP TRUSTEES


Jim Niehaus, President, has served the residents of Crosby Township since 2005.  He has lived in the township for over 45 years and takes pride in our beautiful community.  Jim oversees the Maintenance Department. 

 

Doug Lohman is serving his first term as a Crosby Township Trustee. A local resident, Doug has owned and operated Lohman’s Feed Store & Garden Center for 24 years. He looks forward to serving the great people of our community.

 

 

Dennis A. Heyob has been a Crosby resident for 53 years. He is a life-long farmer who received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Agronomy from Ohio State University. He has served on the Zoning Appeals and Zoning Commission Boards for a total of 32 years. CROSBY TOWNSHIP SENIORS' CLUB

 

The Crosby Seniors are very appreciative of the grant award from the Butler Rural Electric Community Connection program. The grant will be used for membership in the Cincinnati Creative Aging through the Arts program. This program will bring professional musicians to our community for concerts throughout the 2022 year!

 

 

The Crosby Seniors Club is a great group of folks who enjoy gathering for many activities on a regular basis. Anyone 50 years of age and above is invited to join! There will be a Household Hazardous Product One Day Drop-off on Saturday, October 23 from 8 AM to 1 PM.  The location will be in Madisonville (exact location provided upon registration).

CROSBY TOWNSHIP AGGREGATION PROGRAM UPDATE



Cathy Deters, from Energy Alliances, reported that a great number of residents for the program will begin saving energy dollars as of the June meter reading dates. Dynegy has stated that of the 1090 letters sent out 918 enrolled as customers with 172 opting out. Please keep in mind that if a new resident or someone moves to another location within the township, they are able to enroll. Opt out letters will be sent out about 6 months from now to capture some of the folks that expire with other suppliers. If you would like to enroll at this time, please contact Cathy Deters, Director of Sales, at 513-794-5555.

 HISTORICAL SOCIETY NEWS

 

 

The Crosby Township Historical Society Board members will meet monthly in 2021 to conduct Society business. The regular membership meetings are cancelled until further notice. The Society board will participate at Crosby Township Day at Strickers Grove, Sunday May 16 from 1 to 8. We will have items displayed and sell tickets for our lottery tree. We will also participate in the Memorial Day Parade as usual on Sunday, May 30. We will have books to sell and bottled water to pass out at the Old Town Hall. If any member would like to help, notify Melba Guard 513-519-6237.
